Sagordari Jessore


Shagordari is a famous tourist spot, which is in keshabpur upazela under Jessore district in Khulna Division. Sagordari is famous for the residence of Great poet Michael Modhusudon Datta.The two-storied residence, which is known as Michel Modhusudon museum, is now under the custody of Bangladesh Archeological Department.

National Mosque

Baitul Mokarram is the National Mosque of Bangladesh. Its construction began on 1960, and has been going on in phases. Architect T Abdul Hussain Thariani was commissioned to design the mosque complex. The plan included shops, offices, libraries and parking areas within the complex. The design of the mosque reflects the architecture of the period as can be seen from the use of a white and almost cube-form for the main building. A Mosque without a dome over the roof of its main prayer hall must have been a unique experiment.

Mazar of Bayazid Bostami


This holy place attracts a large number of visitors and pilgrims. At its base there is a large pond with several hundred tortoises floating on the water.It is situated in Chittagong city and another sign of historical importance.

National Parliament


National Parliament is one of the most famous historical buildings in Bangladesh. The National Parliament (Sangsad Bhaban) complex is located at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar of Dhaka city. The National Parliament Building is an architectural masterpiece for which the nation can be said to be justifiably proud.The decision to construct the National Parliament Complex at Dhaka was originally taken in 1959. Louis I Kahn. one of the greatest architects of the time was initially selected for designing the complex.

Tajhat Rajbari


Tajhat is a historical place of Bangladesh , located near Lalbagh,Rangpur. It has a nice Jamidarbari (Palace) which in 2005 was turned into a museum .The palace in Tajhat, commonly known as Tajhat Rajbari was built by Maharaja Kumar Gopal Lal Roy in the beginning of the 20th century. He was a descendent of a Hindu who emigrated from Punjab. He was a jweler by profession.

Dhanmondi Old Eidgah


Dhanmondi Old Eidgah at Sat Masjid Road is the another sign of historical place. It was constructed by,Mir Abdul Qasim Dewan by the order of Prince Shah Suja, Mughal viceroy of Bengal, second son of Emperor Shahjahan. A Persian inscription records the date of its erection in 1640 AD.

Sompur Bihar

Sompur Bihara is one of the most important archeological structures in Bangladesh. Situated in the heartland of Varendra, in the present-day Naogaon District of Bangladesh, the extensive ruins of Paharpur, originally known as the Sompur Vihara, is a wonder of Buddhist architecture in the country. The great king Dharmapala of Bengal, in the 8th century, built the monastery as a famous Asian seat of learning and pilgrimage.

Mahastangar

Mohasthangarh is one of the main attractions in north Bengal. It was the capital of Kingdom of the Mourjo, the Gupta and the Sen Dynasty. - This is the ancient archeological and historical which was, established in 2500 BC. It is the oldest archaeological site of Bangladesh is on the western bank of river Karatoa 18 km.

Bhasu Vihar

Bhasu Vihara Located at about 6 km west of mahasthangarh (Mahasthangad) on the northern part of village Bhasu Vihara, under Bihar union of Shibganj thana of Bogra district, about 500m west of the Nagar river. Three mounds have been excavated here revealing the basal parts of two monasteries and one shrine. Bhasu Vihara, locally known as Narapatir Dhap, is a complex of two rectangular monasteries and a semi-cruciform shrine of the Post-Gupta period.

Paharpur Buddhist Monastery is another tourist attraction of North Bengal.It is one of the oldest sign of historical attraction.

Ruplal House


Ruplal House is a grand 19th century building in old Dhaka Bangladesh. It was built by two Hindu merchants, brothers named Ruplal Das and Raghunath, on the northern bank of Buriganga in the Farashgonj locality overlooking a riverfront prominade.The architecture of the two story in Buriganga that is divided into two uniqul 1 blocks built in slightly different style.

Ahsan Monjil

Ahsan Monjil was the official residential palace and seat of the Dhaka Nawab Family. It is situated on the banks of the Buriganga River in Bangladesh. The palace is now a museum. It is constructed in the Indo-Saracenic Revival Architecture.The construction of the palace was begun in 1859 and completed in 1872. Abdul Ghani named it Ahsan Manzil after his son Nawab Khwaja Ahsanullah.

Mujibnagar Memorial

As the barbaric crackdown of the Pakistan army on the unarmed Bangalees on the night following March 25 in 1971, senior leaders of Awami League congregated at Baidyanathtala in Meherpur on this day in 1971 to constitute the provisional government of independent Bangladesh. Baiddyanathtala, mainly a mango grove, was later named as Mujibnagar after ceremonial formation of the provisional government of Bangladesh.

Natore-Dighapatiya Rajbari


Natore lies about 40 km from Rajshahi and is an old seat of the Maharajah of Dighapatiya, now serving as the Uttara Ganabhaban (The Official northern region residance of the President of the Republic). The palace has large, spacious grounds and is surrounded by a fine moat. The palace has well-equipped guest-house, an imposing gateway and a fine garden decorated with statues of white marble.

Central Shahid Minar

Symbol of Bengali nationalism, this monument was built to commemorate the martyrs' of the historic language movement on 21st February, 1952. The day is also now observed as International Mother Language Day across the world. Hundreds and thousands of barefooted people with floral wreaths and bouquets gather at this monument from the first hour of 21st February every year to pay homage to the martyrs.Shahid Minar stands with a memorable
history.

National Memorial


Located at Savar, about 35 km from Dhaka, the national memorial was designed by architect Moinul Hossain. It is dedicated to the sacred memory of the millions of unknown martyrs' of the war of liberation in 1971.
It contains our liberation war history.

Sonargaon


About 29 km. from Dhaka, Sonargaon dating back to 13th century is one of the oldest capitals of Bengal. A folk-art and craft museum has been established here. Among the ancient monuments still intact are the tomb of Sultan Abdul Alla and a beautiful mosque in Goaldi village.

Mazar of Shah Poran

The mazar of Hazrat Shah Paran (R) is located at a greater distance from the Sylhet town. It is said that he was the son of a sister of Hazrat Shah Jalal (R) and was born in Yemen. After the conquest of Sylhet, he established his khanqah at Khadim Nagar and started spiritual ascetic practice there. Everyday thousands of people come to visit the mazar to pay their respect and honor for this Sufi Saint.

Mazar of Shah Jalal


Shrine of Saint Hazrat Shah Jalal is the most historical interest in Sylhet town. The great saint who came from Delhi to preach Islam and defeated the then Hindu Raja (king) Gour Gobinda, transformed the witchcraft followers of the Raja into catfishes which are still alive in the tank adjacent to the shrine Swords, the holy Quran and the robes of the holy saint are still preserved in the shrine.

Seven Dome Mosque

Seven Dome Mosque situated in Mohammadpur,Dhaka.Archeologists of Bangladesh claim that the Masjid was made by Shaista Khan. He was a Subadhar and army general of Mughal Empire in Bengal region from 1664 to 1688.Size of the Masjid is 17.67meter X 6.22meter. The masjid has three domes in north to south side and four dooms in four corners. In total it has seven domes, that’s why people call it Sat Gomboj (Seven Dome) masjid. All seven domes are almost in same size.

Choto Sona Mosjid


Soto Sona Mosjid is a remarkably fine architectural specimen of the Sultante Period. Built by Wali Muhammad son of Ali during the reign of Sultan Hossain Shah (1493-1519). It has fifteen gilded domes including three chauchala domes in the middle row. Chief attractions of the Mosque are its intricate stone carvings and decoration.It is
the another historical importance of Bangladeesh.

Binat Bibi Mosque

The 600 year old mosque,one of the oldest building in the city,
is being demolished as part of a renovation plan which includes
building a 70 foot high minaret,and the extension of the current building from three stories to seven.

Moinamoti


Mainamati is a famous Buddhist archaeological site. Marks of rich ancient civilization have been found in Lalmai Mainamati hills. In these hills there are plenty of archaeological sites. Various archaeological relics including images and metalled utensils discovered from these viharas. The Mainamati Museum is a prominent torist attraction. Poet Rabindranath Tagore and Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi visited Comilla in 1921.

Star Mosque

Star Mosque is locally known as Tara Masjid is a mosque located in Dhaka Bangladesh. It is situated at the Armanitola area of the old part of the city.The mosque has ornate designs and is decorated with motifs of blue stars. It was built in the first half of the 19th century by one Mirza Golam Pir.This mosque was originally a simple rectangular mosque.
